US (CA): Navel orange production expected to be up

Awaiting the arrival of Spanish fruit UK: Good orange market at the moment
“The Spanish citrus season is getting under way shortly with a normal season expected for volumes. Due to lack of rainfall sizes are looking small at the moment with large fruit being shorter than normal. If they get expected late September rainfall this should help the fruit sizing. Fruesh will have a program of Spanish citrus this season in all pack formats.
The orange market is good at the moment with less quantities hitting the market. Prices in Europe are better than the UK with higher demand for fruit. Valencias are making €10.00-12.00 FOT depending on sizes for telescopic cartons.
The lemon market has eased back a little in the last week with sufficient volumes in UK and Europe. Selling prices are around €15.00 FOT for 15kg and €17.00-18.00 for 18kg Turkish lemons are due at the end of Sept with Fruesh being heavily involved with all Turkish citrus this season with all varieties. They expect a normal season for volumes/sizing and quality is good. Lemons are slightly later than last year”
